Durn House is an 18th Century Georgian Style Mansion House steeped in local and national History providing exquisite accomodation in a central location on the Banffshire Coast NE Scotland. With original features and large comfortable rooms, Durn House provides a touch of country house living in a laid back atmosphere. With stunning en-suite rooms with high quality decor, Durn House is just a short stroll to the village shops as well as the histoirc 17th century harbour and the sea. Each guest bedroom has it's own bathroom with quality toiliteries, bathrobes, fluffy towels as well as a welcome tray and plat screen TV. Guests also have access to our Gentleman's Club Room which has a full size pool table, bar area, comfy sofa's as a wall mounted plasma TV, a great place to relax and have some fun. We can also provide bicycles to rent on a daily basis.

Durn House is located within easy reach of the Cairngorm National Park, whisky and castle trails, numerous golf courses, fishing facilities, as well as stunning beaches and wildlife, this NE coastline is in fact referred to as 'Scotlands Treasure'. An undiscovered part of NE scotland which has a very mild and dry climate that most people do not realise.

Guests at Durn House enjoy a traditional scottish breakfast and can also choose to stay for evening meals if booked in advance. Although we do not have an acohol license we will happily chill wine etc. for guests. There is a self contained guest suite on the top floor which comprises of three large bedrooms all with private bathrooms or en-suite, plus a private guest lounge which would make an ideal apartment for rental for a family.

Portsoy is one of the pretiest villages along this stretch of coastline
